We first started working with Mixtiles in 2023 when 3Search was referred to the hiring team by another business we had previously worked with. Mixtiles needed the support of a specialist marketing recruitment agency as they made their first hire in the US – a Head of Marketing role.
North America is the largest market for Mixtiles, so it was important that they started to expand and build a team on the ground. Principal Recruitment Consultant, Jason Goodwin, worked with Mixtiles’ hiring team to understand what they were looking for in their first American-based marketing hire.
At the time of hiring, the business had a large focus on performance marketing. They were looking to change this strategy and focus their efforts on growing organic traffic by hiring a Head of Marketing.
It was important for this role to be based in New York, as they would have a focus on selling Mixtiles’ story and communicating with American customers.
As their first American marketing hire, Mixtiles required a Head of Marketing who was technical, creative and commercially minded. Finding someone with these attributes can be tricky. Plus, as the business is based outside of the US, Mixtiles’ internal hiring team did not have the networks and knowledge to navigate the market. As a result, they needed an experienced recruiter with an extensive network to support the headhunting process.
Jason has the network and expertise to find top talent for the Head of Marketing role and provided an excellent shortlist of candidates that exceeded Mixtiles’ expectations.
We were looking to make our first Head of Marketing hire in the USA and were referred to Jason and Olly at 3Search from a mutual connection in Israel. We had already engaged with other agencies but the quality of candidates wasn’t up to scratch for what we wanted and after an unsuccessful search, we decided to brief Jason on the role.
